An entire page dedicated to safety? Yes. It's that important to us. At Merit Roofing Systems, our employees are the life blood of our business. Without them, we don't exist. So the most important job we have is making sure that each and every person we employ and every person on a Merit job site goes home safely at the end of the day.

We take it so seriously that we have a full time safety manager who's sole responsibility is making certain that our operation meets the highest industry standards. Our commitment to safety is evidenced by our excellent EMR and our involvement with organizations such as ISNetWorld, a third-party verification service used by heavy industrial firms and refineries to confirm contractors conform to the most rigorous safety protocols.

With over 42 years of experience as a loss control specialist for insurance providers, Rich brings an unparalleled depth and breadth of knowledge to the business. His unique understanding of OSHA regulations coupled with construction-specific environments makes him the perfect resource to ensure we live up to the high bar we set for ourselves. Rich has a current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry certification.

Rich oversees all safety-related aspects of our operation, from preconstruction planning to job site safety and fleet safety. Rich also monitors our drivers' performance via the GPS tracking software we have installed on all of our vehicles.
